on a small farm in Mission, Texas with three siblings and my parents. I
still remember those days. My two brothers would get up at the crack of
dawn to work with my dad, and my sister and I had to get up to make
breakfast with my mom. But, I would find any excuse possible to be
outside with my dad. I didn’t like being confined to the inside of the
house when there was so much freedom outside. I helped my dad take care
of the animals, cultivate the garden, transplant trees, mow the
acreage, bail hay, work on the barn; oh, there was plenty to do
outside! That is how it is today for me and why I am going on this
World Race. There is plenty to do around the world, to work alongside
God, my Heavenly Father, in His garden and to plant seeds, water
plants, and just be amazed as to how He grows what was sown and to
share in His harvest. My Heavenly Father adopted me, through His Son
Jesus, into His Family when I was 13 years old. After high school, I
went to college to get a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology and a Masters
in Business Administration from Texas A&M University – Corpus
Christi. Now I work as a Desktop Computer Support Specialist at the
University of Texas in Austin. I enjoy many kinds of hobbies (to name a
few): kayaking, hiking, gourmet cooking, and playing the guitar. In the
last two years, I have been to Peru, Mexico, and Panama for medical
missions as a Spanish Translator. I hope to apply for medical school in the very near future to
continue my Heavenly Father’s work as a medical missionary.
God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God
prepared in advance for us to do” (Ephesians 2:10).
