I participated in a workshop this week that dealt with making Kingdom
dreams happen. It is already understood that if the Lord put the dream
in your heart, He will accomplish it. There are still dream
destroyers, right? Things like lack of peer support, financial
hindurances, political unrest, anything that gets in the way of
bringing out the dream trouble-free. But here’s faith: Jesus said in
this world you will have trouble and unrest, but be of good cheer for
He has overcome the world. We may have dream destroyers, but if we
trust that the Lord is faithful to have His word accomplish what it
was sent to do, we trust in a Dream Victor, the Lord Jesus Christ, and
He has made us more than conquerors. I was encouraged greatly by this
3-day workshop. Seth Barnes did a great job in equipping us with
resources to move forward with our kingdom dreams. Thanks Seth!

Speaking of Kingdom dreams, my dream is to live as a medical
missionary, working with other doctors, dentists, optometrists, nurses
in different countries to build free clinics in rural areas and work
with local medical and dental professionals and missionaries. I’d also
like to build a small education center next to these free clinics to
educate the community on preventive medicine techniques, practicing
good hygeine, and teaching CPR and first aid basics.

I met a World Racer from the H squad who attended this workshop and
who has a similar dream. Currently she practices as a nurse but wants
to go back to school to get her nurse practitioner degree. On her
route on the World Race, she had been to Cambodia and worked in the
slums with her team. Her heart broke for the people who lived in the
slums. There is a great need for medical help and a hospital, but no
one was there to provide that. She plans to return to Cambodia and
build a hospital where she stayed. I was excited to hear her kingdom
dream. Maybe I can help her as an intern when that opportunity arises?
I’m ATLing it! 🙂
