What! What!
Month one is over.
Time moves so fast guys, so fast.
I wanted to give a little update on stuff, like what I learned, what God is teaching me, how my heart is doing, some firsts I experienced, and where I’m headed next.
WHAT I LEARNED:
- very little Spanish
- people like to dance here
- people drive crazy all over the world
- sunscreen is always important
- so is clean drinking water
- how to cook for lots of people
- how to sleep with no air conditioning
WHAT GOD IS TEACHING ME:
- that he likes patience
- how important it is to rest in Him
- he loves spending time with me
- He loves me even if I don’t change
- He has better plans for me than I do
- He loves the effort I put in
- He is home
HOW IS MY HEART:
My heart is being broken for the things God wants. He is showing me what he sees and sometimes it breaks my heart. He is also healing parts of my heart that are broken. Prayer works and can change peoples lives, so please continue to pray for this journey.
SOME FIRSTS:
- having a fish head on my dinner plate
- leading worship in another country
- praying for someone that doesn’t speak English
- teaching English
- not bathing for a week
- paddling boarding in the ocean
- Eating almond butter with a pen
- going to a Colombian baby shower (so much more fun here than in the states)
- skying my sister to see the WEBN fireworks!! 🙂
- rode on a motorcycle with three people
- snorkeled in the Caribbean sea
WHERE I’M HEADED NEXT:
Bartica, Guyana
My team and I will be working with Ivor Melville. We will be doing all kinds of things such as, youth leadership, interior church planting, evangelism, and technology development.
Pray for us as we journey on.
