Hey guys! We spent this last week working with an awesome ministry called Amigos Del Mar. Pedro, the founder of the ministry is amazing and has a heart of gold.
He is from Cartagena, Colombia, but felt very led to an island across the water called Tierra Bomba. This area is very poor with a lack of government. Most of the families are very broken, leaving lots of children with very little guidance.
Pedro saw this need, and decided to open up a place for children to come and be mentored. He does crafts with the children out of recycled material, and encourages them to go to school. If they attend school they get to surf and paddle board with Pedro on the weekends.
These kids were so awesome to work with. I loved seeing their faces light up when we got to play soccer with them. It was such a blessing.
