I’ve found it interesting to share with people that I’m doing a year long mission trip. Most of responses are “Wow”
. I’ve yet to figure out is that a good thing or a bad thing!
When… when did I get to place that I would do something so… extreme? I am naturally a risk taker, but 2 summers ago a neighbor shared with me that her nephew did the World Race and it really intrigued me. The seed was planted. Last summer all I could think was “there has to more to life than this”! This summer, God said its time for a new chapter.
Why is this something that I believe I should do? The simple answer is I’m doing this because God told me to and if I’m going to pressured by anybody, His pressure is the one to give into! In addition, I have been praying about purpose and wanting to use the gifts he has given me. I surely don’t want them to be taken away and given to man with 10 gifts, so I better develop them for His kingdom.
But how did I get here? I got how because our loving Father pursued me when I was being an idiot in the world, when I was “living it up”, when I was too stupid to realize the joy and awesome-ness of his Love. But ask all the Christian’s in the house to agree with me, Aren’t you glad that this Man named Jesus loved us?!?!?!? Now it’s my turn to live in the purpose He has given me; to glorify His name in everything I do!
The journey started 2 summers ago for me, but this is the next level. I hope that everyone one who reads this will follow this blog, participate, pray, and support me on this journey. Will you ride into “Wow” with me?
