I have a really cool friend named Katherine Gwin. We met each other, per se, in Cambodia as our two teams were close in proximity and spent a bit of time together. We got much closer as friends in Thailand as we sweated to death in bunk beds across from each other. She became a squad BFF in Zambia as we found that we thought very much alike. Since then we’ve nerded out, as fellow INTJs, about Myers Briggs, our kind of funny jokes, and the best way to Introvert and still love people. If you’ve ever had a friend that just ‘got you’, then you understand how I feel about Katherine.
One of the things I love about Katherine is how she studies the Word and the profound revelations that she has from her conversations with the Holy Spirit. She shared an amazing Word with us in our month 8 debrief in Budapest, Hungary. Afterwards, I went and hugged her and playfully said “you know I need a tape recorder when you speak! Why didn’t you warn me you were doing devotional this morning?!?” We giggled, but I asked her to video tape it and send me a copy. I had no idea what God was going to do with that information. I had no idea how much I needed it.
