Back in Peru (man, that seems SO long ago) I was leading morning worship and God put on my heart for us to write Mission Statements. It could be in whatever form the person desired as long as it was physically recorded somehow (not just thoughts in their head). Having this gives us a sort of baseline/guideline; something for us to check ourselves with for the remainder of the race. I just came across mine and figured I'd share. This will help keep me accountable and focused.
- I will always seek You and live in Your presence
- I will listen to Your voice & move at Your directive
- I will live in Your love and show it in all I do/am
- I will be usable by You at all times- send me; I'll go
- I will die to myself daily & walk humbly always
- I will be a change agent- internally & externally
- I will carry myself in a way worthy of Your light
- I will pour into Your Word so I can know & speak Your truths
- I will leave it all in each country- completely poured out
- I will see with Your eyes, hear with Your ears, walk with Your grace, talk with Your truth & love with Your love
- I will trust You at all times
- I will actively participate in bringing Your kingdom
- I will mentor & disciple those You put in my path for that purpose
