Y'll, Pastor Lee was SO on point today that I had to come home and share. There's one thing in particular he talked about that instantly resonated with me. It also lined up nicely with what we learned in NT II class this past Saturday (shout out Dr. Trick). Man I love synergy! (shout out Nicki) Okay okay no mo' shout outs! :o)
Pastor said "EVERYONE has a piece of God when they touch this earth. He has gifted ALL OF US a way to reveal His glory." Dolphins are awesome in the ocean, but put them on land… Eagles are magnificent in flight, but if you put them in a cage… You missed out if you weren't there because his examples also included two MJ impressions- high kick, hanging tongue and all!!! 😀
Jesus' glory was death/resurrection/atonement for mankind. His stupid haters didn't realize that they played right into the plan. They created the very environment/situation for Jesus' glory to shine!
Jesus is fully man. He walked this earth just like us. God was inside of Jesus just like He's in each of us. Jesus realized His glory, let it loose and saved humanity. What's yours? What incredible thing did God put in you to be shared with the world in order to reveal His glory and bless others?
God gives us gifts that support our calls. Our passions are not random. Our natural skills serve a purpose. Take a pause from the busy-ness of life for a second and consciously consider your heart. What's tugging at it? What excites you? That's not a coincidence.
We have a collective destiny. We are one church. All of our paths cross. If I don't answer my call it might interfere with yours and vice-versa. WE bring the kingdom of God. So let's get this cracking!
