During training camp, we were told that although we possessed differences, there was a thread of similarity that ran through each of our lives. We all walked with a “gentle boldness.” Thus began our effort to discover our motto — grounded in the pursuit of Christ — that would inspire us and call us higher throughout the year. We were moved to live by the following phrase: “To walk in gentle boldness for the glory of the Lord.” Although we are a group of individuals, we stand united under this phrase. The Bible calls Christians to be bold and courageous, trusting in the knowledge that the Lord goes before us. However, the Bible calls us to be gentle, as gentleness is a fruit of the Spirit. In our evangelism, our team strives to, simultaneously, be both gentle and bold. We strive to walk in boldness, obediently following Christ wherever He may lead us. However, we aim to gently present the Good News to those we meet, being eager to accommodate to each unique life and story. We pray that this phrase can not only inspire us in our evangelism, but also in our relationships with Christ and with each other. This year marks the beginning of the Panda Rangers’ walk with Christ, characterized by gentleness and boldness in pursuit of furthering His kingdom.
What being a Panda Ranger means to me…
The black and the white of a panda signifies Yin and Yang. We balance each other out and respect each other.
Friendships where we are able to share the ups and downs of life.
Knowing that my girls will cuddle me and care for me…in the emotional sense.
I focus more on the ranger. Rangers lead the way and the power rangers are a team that do life and fight crime together.
Pandas are gentle but don’t take crap from anybody. They receive respect from other animals.
Pandas are one of the most approachable and peaceful bears. Rangers are courageous warriors.
We are a b flat in the harmony. We have lots of different notes and tones and we come together to make a beautiful noise.
