This month some teams will be serving in Argentina and some will be serving in Paraguay. We will not know the details of where we will be staying or the ministry we will be partnering with until a few days before our travel to these countries.

Argentina is the largest Spanish-speaking country in South America and the 8th largest country in the world. It is a nation of immigrants, where the mix of languages and cultures have created something all its own.

Paraguay is home to swampland and vast wilderness. Though still highly influenced by its indigenous language and culture, there is a huge divide between the rich and the poor classes of Paraguay.

Their Greatest Need:

Argentina’s youth ages 15-24 is the largest it has ever been. The country is at a pivotal point where they can experience economic boom if they continue to educate and gainfully employ this working class. Argentina is also at a point where spiritual revival is needed and growing relationships with Jesus are crucial in order to experience the full blessings that God has planned for the people in this country.

Paraguay falls below the Latin American average in several socioeconomic categories, including immunization rates, potable water, sanitation, and secondary school enrollment, and has greater rates of income inequality and child and maternal mortality. Paraguay’s poverty rate has declined in recent years but remains high, especially in rural areas, with more than a third of the population below the poverty line.

Both nations ascribe to Roman Catholicism, but this religion often lacks a personal relationship with Jesus. Will you help me share His redeeming  and relational love in Argentina and Paraguay?

Thank you Bryan Newkirk for sponsoring Argentina/Paraguay and joining me in sharing the redeeming love and freedom of the Gospel!
