Month One Recap

My name is Rocky. I am on a 11 month mission trip to 11 different countries. I am with a squad of 36 people, there are a total of six teams. All six teams are sent out into different parts of each country we visit each month.

For month one, we were in Belize, my team and I were in San Ygnacio, Belize. This month our ministry was called “Ask the Lord (ATL),” that meant we had to pray, seek and be obedient to where God was calling us. ATL provided so much opportunity to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit and required us to be disciplined.

I loved ATL because it allowed me to experience the culture, it allowed me to experience what a normal day in the life of a Belizean was like and it allowed me to make so many different relationships with the locals.

My team and I were able to connect with a local church, we were invited into homes, we walked the streets, prayed over people and were able to not only share Jesus but were able to see Jesus in every moment.

There were three prominent languages in Belize,English, Spanish and Creel. The local food consisted of Plantains, rice, beans and chicken. The culture was rich with color, diversity and full of some of tethe kindest people I have ever met.

There are not enough words that can express to you how great this month was. Please watch this short video to truly experience what we did!
