Church, a conversation with a friend, and prayer time sparked these thoughts on Sunday evening:
1. As Jesus mentions in Luke 12, His word sometimes brings about division. This was comforting to hear because I know that many people close to my heart don't approve of what God has called me to do in 2014. My own household might be divided upon my decision to go on The World Race, but I love my Savior above all, and I will follow His will and His commands.
2. When faced with two decisions, both of which honor and glorify God, how many times do we pick the hardest one? We usually go with the easiest, forgetting that through the hardest choice God will grow us in unimaginable ways.
3. The devil keeps trying to convince me that I am "not Christian enough" and that I cannot put my faith into words. But what wonderful work God has done in my life! I have a beautiful love story with Christ; a story of pursuit, salvation, redemption, and new life. A story I am sometimes hesitant to share, but one that gives all glory to Him!! How blessed am I to have said yes to Jesus and live in God's light!! How beautiful it is to continue shining this light wherever I go!!
