I should have written this blog post WEEKS ago, but I made it into a Facebook Event instead and forgot that a lot of you out there aren’t on Facebook… So here goes:
My birthday is coming up THIS FRIDAY (!!!) and I hope you are able to jump on board with this cyber party! THERE’S SOMETHING IN IT FOR YOU TOO!!
For the World Race, I need to raise over $16,000 in order to cover the cost of food, lodging, travel, and materials. I still have about $8,000 to go to be fully-funded, but my next deadline is coming up in two weeks, and for that I only need $3,000 more to reach it. Since my 24th birthday is coming up on March 21st, I was hoping to reach my next goal by then, and I was wondering if you could help me out. I’ve received donations so far that range from $5 to $1,200, so literally any little bit helps. The other cool thing is that since this is a non-profit organization, you get a tax break by donating. Yippee!
Since I want to make this fun for you too, I want to give something back. So here is what you get in return for donating:
[$1 – $19] : A personalized typed message of encouragement sent from me to you
[$20 – $79] : A postcard from one of the places I visit
[$80 – $149] : A postcard, plus a personalized encouraging video from me to you
[$150+] : A postcard and a souvenir from one of the places I’ll visit
Also, every single person who has donated thus far, and every person who donates in the future gets a little thank you card in the mail (if you donated before December you should have already received one).
In addition, the person who gives the largest donation from now until my third deadline will get a small care package when I get back to the United States (and yes, you may make special requests for it).

Make checks payable to “Adventures In Missions,” and please write “Appealed by StewartRaquel on the memo line so it gets credited to my account!! (This last part is really important!!!!!!). Checks take longer to process, so if you go that route please let me know it’s on the way so I can count it 🙂
