Can God get any realer?!?!
These have been an amazing few days here in the windy city of Chicago, Illinois. God's presence has just been so thick and juicy it's crazy. God has been quenching my thirst for Him little by little and I'm loving it. I am so excited for what God is doing here.
There are a few things that have really stood out to me, touched my heart, and just things that I will never EVER forget.
1) Family Time …
First off, just being with my squad (I-Squad) and team (SHEkinah) has been AWESOME!!! I love these people so much; Seriously, they are my family. God has placed me in a community of amazing men and women of God and I can't wait to be a part of this journey with them.
2) ATL Time (ATL= Ask The Lord) …
This was a time where teams got together and did listening prayers asking the Holy Spirit to speak to us and to tell us what He wanted us to do. My team sat around and we all just blurted out what the Holy Spirit was saying to us. One that rocked my world was a vision my team leader had of a blade of grass. She saw a long blade of grass sticking out of the ground with short grass growing around it. As we left the hotel, we walked through the streets praying over things that we saw and just letting the Holy Spirit guide us. We prayed for 2 women in a 7 Eleven and it was great. At the end, we decided to stand at the corner of he sidewalk and worship God. We sang out to him. One of my teammates looked down and said "Oh look". And right in the middle of our circle was a long blade of grass. We were all amazed and began to praise God even more. I took that as God saying to us that He is with us. In the midst of our worship, God is with us. When things seem to be going wrong and a storm is a brewin', we need to just worship God and know that He is there.
3) Jesus Men …
God has totally blessed I-Squad with some Amazing men of God who I am honored to do life with. They have blessed us women in more ways than we can imagine or that they even know about. One thing that I will never forget and am so humbled by … Our brothers got together and decided to wash all of the women's feet. They also spoke life into us and truly blessed us, BLESSED ME, right out of my socks (literally…lol). I am so grateful for these men. I can just see Jesus through them. His heart is to serve and our I-squad men definitely have a heart like Him. I love them and speak blessings over their lives.
Launch has been amazing, but its nothing compared to what's to come. Tonight (9/8/12) we will be flying to JFK in New York, spending the night in the airport, flying out to Atlanta, Georgia then getting on an 18 hour flight to Johannesburg, South Africa. Our squad will be spread out across four countries for the month of September. Zimbabwe, Botswana, Zambia, and South Africa. My team, along with 3 others, will be in South Africa for this month doing ministry. So I will be in South Africa for 2 months and I am really excited about that. And can't wait to see what the Lord is going to do through us.
Let everything be done to the Glory of GOD!!!! He Rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
