June 30 my team and I are leaving Nicaragua and heading to San Jose, Costa Rica. I am sad to leave our contacts because they have been awesome! So caring and loving towards us. But I cannot lie, I am happy to be leaving the bugs and the cold bucket showers with sketchy water and the latrine. Ministry this month, however, has been great as well. Lots of construction work, but also getting to do home visits and praying for people in the community. One morning we visited 9 homes and prayed for people who were sick, people who were new to the faith, and just general prayers for members of the church. There was one man we prayed for who was in very bad condition. The next day he passed away. The day after my team went to his funeral and burial. The pastor told us that he was saved, so it eased us knowing that he was home with Jesus and he does not have to experience anymore pain. Bitter/Sweet goodbye to Nicaragua. But a Sweet hello to Costa Rica. Last month on the race….unbelievable! I can't believe this has been my life for 10 months. I am so blessed. Please continue your prayers for me…it gets harder the closer to the end we get. Thank you. God Bless 🙂
