Eastern Europe
In March my team spent the month with 2 other teams in Romania. And this month, April, we spent with one other team in Ukraine.
Last month in Romania we did a variety of ministries:
-Kids Clubs
-Street Evangelism
-Teaching English
-Tract and CD distributions
-Office work
I mostly did street evangelism (Walking through the villages and telling people about Jesus. I enjoyed this.) and Kids clubs (Meeting children from the community, playing games, singing songs, and telling bible stories).
This month…
in Ukraine I became a team leader. So God has been teaching me new things like how to be a good leader for my team, being dependent on Him for everything, finding peace in Him for every situation, etc.
Also, all of the men of I -squad have been together this month doing ministry. So I have just been with my three girls and another team of 5 girls. Our month started off a little crazy. Our the tire of our bus to Ukraine popped and we were stranded for about an hour in Moldova until our driver changed the tire. But we didn't mind, because it was a beautiful day.
Our ministry has been mostly doing English clubs; teaching English to University students, and just people from that area. It has been fun, talking with people and building relationships, and through that we get to share the gospel with people.
We also spent 10 days in a village where we did a lot of yard work (Weeding, hoeing, digging, painting, scarpping plaster off of walls, etc.). We also got to teach English to some children in the village. And we stayed in a church and I had a guest visit me in my room one night…A Mouse!
God has taken such good care of me and my team this month. I know that he has done this for my whole race (really my whole life), but just this month I really noticed it much more. I don’t have to worry about anything because I know that God will take care of it. It’s like a weight has been lifted off of my shoulders. So good!
And now, we will start our 3 months in Central America. Can’t wait to see what else God will do.
