Hey everyone! It has been exactly 15 days since I last posted a blog…..I’m so sorry! It’s been crazy for the last couple weeks trying to adjust to life here in Chiayaphum. I can’t go running to the comforts I had at home, but that leaves so much room for me to go running to God instead! I have found myself praying so much more than normal, and it’s felt so good! Every morning(and sometimes at night) I pray that God will walk with us for the day. The thing I want most on this trip is for God to be evermore present, guiding us to where we are needed and providing wisdom for us during difficult times. With these prayers, I have found that I have much more peace of mind rather than worry, I flipping love it! Something else I have noticed is that there are soooooooo many false idols here. When my team and I first left Bangkok, I felt a strange weight on my spirit, like something wasn’t right here. Most of this place does not know God, and it’s something you can feel. There is literally a Buddhist temple every 4 miles and a Buddha shrine in front of every house. My prayer is that our team can witness to the community we are living in, and help spread the truth that every person here is saved by Christ and that GOD LOVES US SO MUCH! I’d also like to tell you all a little about the family we are staying with! Raem and Nan and their 6 kids have been the biggest blessing on our team here in Thailand! They have the kindest hearts and I’m glad to call them family (: I know I was expecting to arrive here and be teaching or working every day, but that isn’t what God had planned for us. We are here to live life with this family, and it has been so eye opening. With the rain beginning to lighten up, we have been able to begin building a concrete shelter on Raem and Nan’s rice farm, which has been quite the experience I might say. With that said, I bid thee all a very fond farewell. Till next I blog! (:
