So last night I had a benefit dinner (a blog soon to come) and let me say it was simply AMAZING! I have THE BEST support system that is composed of friends, family, Sorority sisters, co-workers and church members. Everyone was definitely able to hear first hand and experience the WHY for which I go on this journey in which the Lord has called and chosen me to go on for the kingdom!
Now we know that anytime God’s name is praised, the enemy gets upset and looks for a way in which he can cause destruction. For the Bible says that the enemy lurks/prowls around seeking whom he may devour. (1 Peter 5:8) So, after the dinner I ended up going into the city and hanging with some friends. At the end of the night, I get to my car and the window to the passenger seat is broken.
Now the old Ramesha would have gotten upset, probably screamed and used some inappropriate language. Instead, I just used it as a learning experience and decided to just get it repaired without getting the insurance company involved.
So this morning, I woke up fairly early (with only 2 hours of sleep within a 30 hour period) and began to look up places who would give me the best deal. I ended up at a place not too far from house. They were so nice to drop me off to my house while they worked on the car so that I wouldn’t have to wait and would pick me up once the work was completed.
Once completed they arrived at my home and we headed back to the repair center. While in route, I began talking to the one of the repairmen named Carlos and he ended up telling me he was from El Salvador ????. I asked how long they had been in business and he explained that he and his partner, Oscar, had been there for over 10 years. I began to tell him that I would be going to South America to Columbia, Ecuador and Peru….Back at the shop during the closing of the transaction with Oscar, the owner of the shop and business partner of the repairman Carlos from the car conversation , I began telling him how Carlos and I were talking about him being from El Salvador and that he explained how they had been there for over 10 years. I thanked him for such great service and work quality, as well as for assisting me with this matter. I then told him too that I would be visiting the countries in South America and when asked for what, I told him for an 11 month missions trip called the World Race. As the transaction came to an end and as I was preparing to leave, I told him that I would pray that he would be healed and get better from the bad cough he was suffering from. He then proceeded to tell me that wasn’t the only thing that was wrong with him. You see Oscar suffers from Narcolepsy and he explained that he just falls asleep at any given moment. I encourage Oscar to began walking and getting in better shape ,to drink more water, and to eat better foods. I then asked if we could pray for his healing and he agreed. I prayed for healing and that God would help him to begin taking better of his body/temple and that God would restore his health. As I walked towards the door, He stated “I know I’m going to get better.” And you know what, I know he is too! I left my contact information with him and cant wait to hear about how God restores his health. I hope that you will stand in prayer with me for this brother.
What was meant for my harm in the form of the car vandalism, God is going to use it for good and restore Oscar’s health. All of this was either God ordained or God allowed. You see be repairs cars, but the ultimate repairer is going to repair and restore him. I just know it! ????
