“What you ought to say is, “If the Lord wants us to, we will live and do this or that.” Otherwise you are boasting about your own pretentious plans, and such boasting is evil.”-James 4:15-16(NLT)

“Lord willing!” That’s what my granny (Lord bless her soul) used to say to me. I never really grasped where she developed such a saying until I got older AND read James chapter 4 myself. As humans, we are constantly making plans about what it is we need to get done, when we need to have them completed, and how we plan to accomplish the tasks created. I know I’m guilty of it all because I can have a calendar full of events, a To-Do list full of tasks and when it all rolls around for it to get done or come to past, something has come up, or a task was not completed. For example, I have a monthly calendar of things I would like to accomplish as I prepare for my upcoming World Race journey that includes fundraising goals that I wanted to achieve so that I can be fully funded by the time my squad and I launch (which I’m still believing and praying will happen). However, I’ve learned that God is causing things to happen the way he wants them because through this process, there are things that he’s teaching me and through it all is growing my faith. Now let me make this clear, there is NOTHING wrong with setting goals, having To-Do lists, or being intentional about the things you want to accomplish, however I’m learning that God has a strategic way of assisting us in getting things done. We just have to pay attention to the small details throughout our days to see how he’s working in our lives.

With all of that being said, though I did not meet my monthly financial goals, I do have a praise report: As of today, I’ve fundraised $2,550!!!!!! A special shout out to ALLLLLL of my supporters. Please know that I will NOT be able to go on this journey for the betterment of the Kingdom without you guys. This is your World Race too! And I pray God’s blessings on your sacrifices. I love you all! ?? We’re halfway to our first goal of $5,000. And if Lord willing, I’ll have that well before the deadline of May 15th.
