Wow! The World Race has finally kicked off, but still it don’t seem too much like a reality. Last Monday I embarked on a journey that would take me around the world. The first stop on this incredible journey was a city just outside of Dublin, Ireland. Were we were staying for that first week of training camp was not at all suprising for the World Race. It was a big campground with plenty space for over 80 tents. This first week was definately a test to see if we were really there for the right reason. Of course we were sleeping in our tents, but with really cold weather, wind that possibly could compare to a tropical storm (for those in Florida), a lot of peanut butter sandwiches throughout the week, and one shower the whole first week (the showers cost) it was not excatly luxery living. Through all this, all we were able to do put our focus on God, and once we did our worship sessions were awesome.
