I love children
I love their laughter
I love their smiles
I love the way they live life
I love their optimism
I have been with children all month
Children thataim to serve first
Hard working children
Diligent children
Children that strive for an education
Children that don’t take what they have for granted
Children that live life to glorify our God
Children that have dreams
Children that trust God to make those dreams come true
Children that know hardship
Children that have lived on the street
Children that have HIV
Children that have no parents
Children that are rejected by society
Children that have been cast aside
Children that have been forgotten
Children that have struggled with addiction
Children that have been through things that I could never imagine
There is so much that I have learned from the children of Great Mercy Ministries. There is so much beauty amongst them. There I so much passion and zeal. It inspires me. I have not seen children like the ones I see here. They have been through so much. They have overcome so much. They have dreams and aspirations and they are leaning on God to provide for them on all accounts. Their faith is astounding. Because of them, my faith has definitely grown this month. Because of them I will definitely be leaving a part of my heart in Kenya.

It’s been a truly amazing month. Today is our last day here. It’s bitter sweet. I love this place and can see myself coming back here in the future for sure. I am also excited for the months to come. I will miss everyone here. They have stolen a part of my heart.
Father God, I pray for Great Mercy. I pray for the children here. I pray You continue to use this place to be a ministry for underprivileged kids. Let them learn more about You. Let them grow more aware of You. Provide for these children an education Lord. Give them the faith to continue to lean on You as their Rock. Give them the strength to persevere through the hardships they will undoubtedly go through. Send more people here that will love these children just as we have. Expand Great Mercy Lord. Make it a place for hundreds of students to experience Your love. Thank you God for the experience that You have given me here. Thank You for all that I have learned. Thank You for all the beautiful children that always have smiles on their faces. God you are so good, and faithful. I trust You and I love You, it’s in Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
