Howdy!
My name is Rajesh Solanki, but everyone calls me Raj. I am so pumped for the opportunity God has blessed me with in the form of The World Race. I figure I should tell y'all some stuff about me. Well I am a born and raised Texan. My parents were raised in India and moved here in '88. I have three younger sisters the ages of 18, 16, and 3 (adorable!). Depending on when you read this I either go to Texas A&M University or I am a graduate (weird) of Texas A&M University. Whoop!! I am a marketing major with no set plan of a career, so its a good thing I don't have to worry about that for a while. One of my biggest passions is the game of basketball. And that includes watching and playing. I am one of the biggest Dallas Mavericks fans you will ever meet! I am watching a Mavs game while typing this actually.
In relation to this amazing adventure I am about to embark on, I feel as though I was being called to do this. I have gone through a lot of religious changes in the last year and a half, coming from a Hindu family. I did not come to find Christ until last year and it has been an incredible journey. I believe the World Race is doing amazing things across the world by spreading the word of God and the story of Jesus Christ and I am blessed to be a part of it!
I am definitely nervous about leaving my friends and family for such a long period of time, but I am going to be impacting so many lives and I myself am going to be learning so much which makes it all definitely worth it!
