You guys got my reflection on our trek through the Himalayas, but because the Lord has made us so beautifully different in the way perceive and experience things I wanted to share a reflection written by one of my teammates @Jordan Kuhn (photo credit also Jordan lol go to her blog to see more blogs by her!)
How these mountains are so heavily saturated with you. How the Himalayas scream your great and mighty power. Yet it whispers your beauty and design. How can one place can be a jungle and winter wonderland at the same time? These mountains are drenched in your touch. How each mountain is covered in mustard flowers. I can’t help but think of Matthew 18: . If you have faith the size of a mustard seed you can look at a mountain and tell it to jump and it will. Here we are surrounded by 2 of the 10 worlds highest peaks. Here we are surrounded by field after field with billions of mustard seeds. I see your face in these mountains. I see your heart in each warm cup of tea served to us by locals. How their kindness reflects yours. My heart aches knowing that your people are living on the top of some of your greatest creations yet they don’t know your name. Your work is not yet done. As each mile grows longer and my muscles scream stop you whisper keep going. Profess my name. Profess my love. Profess my truth. Lord I will climb these mountains with my hands wide open. “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. Though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches.” Matthew? ?13:31-32?.
