~ Rest in me ~ Rest in me ~ Rest in ~ God keeps saying these words to me since i found out about the race lol
God must have known that I would try and take on the world .That I would get so busy trying to work , workout , minister-praying , looking for gear, spending time with friends, and trying to cram everything all into a few hours of the day . God knows that when I'm on a mission- I'm focused on finishing the race- project in a day loI He knows I am determined to get things accomplished in the fastest manner possible. I never rested in the past ( well not as much as I should have ) hahaha God knew i would need to hear those words over and over again. He knew they would bring me Peace. I actually went into adrenal burnout a few months ago, God and I are setting my body straight. But It has been a act of surrender~ to resting more , actually laying down for at least 30 min's a day , to just stop and listen and breath( Or nap) . Napping is also a type of rest because if we don't honor our body and rest when its needed its not honoring to God ….. But truly when were resting in the Great I am… Nothing is work, Its an act of worship. And suddenly everything becomes an act of worship, even when were buzzing around like bees to get everything done . A long time ago I hear someone preach on the word busy and It really opened my eyes. B- being U- under S – satan's Y – yoke …. Poppa reminded me of this again this last month. Im getting ready to take on even more , But I still have to find time to rest . Without rest we cant hear from Poppa, we wont receive all He has and we wont understand His fullness even if we get visions and dreams.If we dont rest the way God wants us to , we lose a big piece to Gods Heavenly road map in life .
The apostles then rendezvoused with Jesus and reported on all that they had done and taught. Jesus said, “Come off by yourselves; let’s take a break and get a little rest.” For there was constant coming and going. They didn’t even have time to eat Mark 6:30
Part of living a life of discipline is learning the importance of rest. Rest is not an option if we are to function at our best He is a persistent Father who understands the value of rest. Jesus even modeled the truth that it is in Sabbath moments that we will find Him most precious and hear His voice more clearly. After all, He was in charge of the creation process that included the need for rest. Did God need to rest? ….. no , but by creating a day of rest, He drove home the fact that our bodies were created in such a way that rest is not an option.<3 On the seventh day of creation, God rested. He didn't need rest lol But He set aside a day for rest …..He made a powerful point. Rest is a physical reality and a spiritual discipline. SO no matter what is going on in your life I urge you to rest . Rest your body, Rest your mind , Rest your spirit , Rest your soul , Rest in him as He keeps saying. When you Rest it will become a new way to worship. Rest doesn't always mean sleep , but it does mean stop, focus, breath and take care of yourself. It does mean staying stress free as much as possible . It does mean take time for yourself to commune with God . And sometimes the best thing we can actually do when we just don't have an answer and we cant take anymore………Take a nap or a sleep 🙂 Joy comes in the morning not half way through a busy day <3 The best state of mind to be in is a rested state of mind. You'll hear God clearer, your body will feel better , You'll feel better!!!! and your emotions wont be all over the place. Rest in Him. There is no "Works" in the kingdom. God requires us to do everything from rest. Its actually a command straight from Jesus.When the boat was a rocking and the storm was a brewing out on the water …. the disciples were freaking out …. But our awesome Jesus was taking a nap hahaha And behold, there arose a great storm on the sea, so that the boat was being swamped by the waves; but he was asleep" Matthew 8:24 Now that's some faith!!!. He knew His father had it all in hand <3
And he said, “My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest Exodus 33:14
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11 :28
Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls Matthew 11:29
It is in vain that you rise up early and go late to rest, eating the bread of anxious toil; for he gives to his beloved sleep Psalms 127 :2
Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! Psalms 46:10
SO rest. The lion says sleep tonight, or Nap in the day( and don't feel guilty that's not Poppas voice ) or Just take a break and sit in the still and quiet and calm your racing mind. Focus on his face ! not the race 🙂 make rest your new act of worship this week . You never know…. that Rest may give Poppa long enough to download an important dream or vision into you that may Bring your BREAKTHROUGH!!!!
God knows I hate resting ( especially sleeping , which is why I'm blogging at 1:30 am lol But Poppa started to speak so I have an excuse ;p 😉
But He is teaching me its in that place OF REST that Heaven moves mountains into the sea, and Giants fall <3 At that point its all of God and none of me , the way its suppose to be 🙂 ps… This includes fundraising lol If God tells you to rest …. Rest and Let Abba , Poppa do the work 🙂 Allow Him to restore, replenish and refocus your heart and mind. So you can rise to serve Him and lead others to the “quiet waters” of rest.
Poppa Teach me more …how to rest in You, . Help me learn how to say “no” to those busy things that keep me from sitting at Your feet. Give me a hunger and thirst for You that can only be satisfied by time alone with You.Help me not to feel guilty when you actually want me to sleep I love You Pappi!
