The Dominican Republic

The D.R. was great! The entire squad consisting of 45 “World Racers” spent the entire month living in tents and serving alongside one another.
The picture above is us walking to our living quarters. Scroll down for a few more pictures.
Our hosts as well as ministry coordinators were Pastor Ruben and his wife Vicky. Once again we were blessed with such amazing hosts.
Pastors wife Vicky had our daily schedules for the month ready for us as soon as we arrived.

Duties/ Ministries we took part in were:
Teaching children and youth English – The ABCs, Days of the week, colors & greetings to name a few.
“Grounds duty” – consisted of manual labor at their residence. Such as digging trenches, making paths for people to walk, & cleaning out the water fall are which some used for a shower.
“Work duty” – cooking lunch and dinner for all 45 racers – mopping and cleaning the bathrooms – as well as laundry

This waterfall counted as an additional shower.

p.s. We landed in Bolivia last week and many people are sick. Some seem like a light flu others do to “altitude sickness”.
