New Team

One Direction

Left to right – Casey, Zach (Team Leader), Kathrynn, yours truly, Liz, Sabrina & Elaine.

Our new team ¨One Direction¨ got put together at the end of April.

Liz and Sabrina were on my previous team. Elaine and Kathrynn were on Zach´s previous team.

Casey came from another.

Having 3 men on a team has definitely been great.

Casey (Tennessee) aka Hansel -I have gotten to know well throughout this World Race. Also our teams lived and served together in April.

Zach (Michigan) -is one of the people I hoped to be on a team with since training camp.

Reminds me of myself in some ways. Enjoys watching and playing sports, telling jokes, and  always up for pranks. Dude is hilarious!

Kathrynn (California)-Very sweet – gentle but strong lil lady. Is a physical therapist back home.

She is a sweetheart that enourages all of us with her feedback and wisdom from God.

Liz (New York) – Loves sports – has played hockey almost all her life and in college. Was also on my previous team “Radical”.

Sabrina (Indiana) – Like Liz she was also on team Radical. Sabrina has a huge heart for her teammates & those in need.

Elaine (Canada) – She cracks me up. Definitely didn’t peg her to be as funny as she is. We spoke a little in february when it was “all squad month”. She led worship at her church and blesses us when she does with our team and squad. Always has me laughing with her and at her. Very cool Canadian I must say.

Well that is a short update regarding my new team and teammates.

While in Ecuador I got the pleasure of meeting my friend Tammys’ aunt. She owns a restaurant 15 minutes from where we were staying. She was so sweet!

One of our last assignments in Ecuador was to paint 2 logos.

We weren’t sure exactly how we were going to go about it but it ended up coming out great!

Nate from the sports ministry wanted us to paint his logo “Cumbre Alta” as well as the ministry that we stayed with “Inka Link” at the soccer field they play at.

So we had to set up Nate’s projector at night, trace the logo, then come back the next day to paint.

It was quite a fun learning & bonding experience.

We didn’t have a ladder so Zach and I took turns holding Kathryn.

 God bless

Hope all of you are having a great summer!
