ECUADOR!

Ecuador was great!

Our new team “One Direction” was split up into 2 teams due to the abundance of work our ministry host had for us.

 One of our ministry hosts is Nate, who is a soccer coach and heads a sports ministry called “Cumbre Alta”.

In the mornings, Monday through Friday, Zach, Kathryn, and I serve at a daycare. The kids have been great. They welcomed us with open arms the moment we stepped into their classroom.

In the afternoon Nate has asked us to tend to the soccer field that hosts the games.  Picking up trash, painting, and any other improvements/ maintenance.

Their classroom at the daycare has been the nicest and well stocked classroom I have seen during the World Race thus far. Professora Mariela always has an abundance of arts and crafts for the kids to color and assemble.

While the other half of the team – Casey, Elaine, Liz, & Sabrina

call coaches in the morning for Nate, participate in soccer practice with children in the afternoon, teach English to the adult soccer players & at night attend Nate’s teams practice.

Here is a video of the kids & the daycare

 Enjoy =)

 The playground is big but doesn’t have much on it as you may have been able to tell. Two sets of swings and 2 slides. That’s pretty much it. If we were here for another month I would have liked to fundraise to add a few more things for them to climb and play on.

I plan to update you all next week before we leave to Panama.

Everyone gets to see my updates but I seldom get to hear from all of you.

So if we haven’t been able to talk much since this World Race commenced

I would appreciate an email of your 2014 thus far!

Smile – remember to choose JoyPray daily – & Love your neighbor

Love & God bless,
