As most of you know who subscribe to my blog I am leaving to Cambodia in Seven days! I will land in Siem Reap, Cambodia on Feb 1st! I will be in Asia for three months, returning to Georgia in May continuing my A/V position at Adventures.
Prayers throughout my time there would be great!
I will be serving alongside squads of Gap Year, World Race, and an opportunity to visit the Adventures Thailand team (in Thailand)!
This missions trip has been months in the making and years in the waiting. I have been trying to see how I can continue to serve in missions overseas while still working full time at Adventures. It has been hard waiting to see when my time would come but God is faithful!
I have met my fundraising goal & it covers the following:
Visa (3 months) – $115
Lodging $5.00 per day – $440
Food $7.00 per day – $616
Transportation – $60
Roundtrip Airfare
Insurance
Admin Fees
I know what some of you are thinking $7.00 per day for food surprised me too.

When I started fundraising it was to cover the average cost of food, lodging, and travel to and from ministry. My trip is a little unique being that I got the invitation to go out to do ministry in Cambodia before having ministry & housing set up. I’m locked in leading nine men in February that are on Gap Squad N!

My ministry & housing is currently being set up for March & April. In the event, my housing &/or food is even just $1 more a day than I fundraised that’s an extra $122 (March – April) I will also spend a few days in a hostel in March and April that costs a little more than the average $5.00 per day. Don’t get me wrong it’s a good problem to have to be serving overseas waiting to see where I’ll be serving next & NOT to be in a tent PTL!! (Praise the Lord)
