Once again it was a great month!
Filled with meeting awesome missionaries & seeing God through it all.
Unsung Heroes a second time around did not disappoint.
We spent time with:
Mission Caribe in Tegucigalpa.
Pastor Fidel in Choluteca
Frank & Pastor Giovanni at Gran Comision Church in Choluteca
and last but not least
went on a tour with Suzy of the Lamb Institute
(which my previous blog was about)
This blog and recap video shows a little about the first 3.
Opens up with worship at Grand Comision. We went to their service in which the guest pastor spoke about
“Taking care of your sheep”
He had a great message.
John 10:11
“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.”
Here are a few points the pastor shared with us that night.
A good shepard:
1 – Searches and seeks for his sheep – Ezekiel 34:11 “For thus says the Lord God: “Indeed I Myself will search for My sheep and seek them out.”
2 – Feeds his sheep – John 21:15 “So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.”
Jesus was referencing to feed them with the word of God.
3 – Makes them feel safe
Here is my recap!
The following video clip is from a children’s day service with
Mision Caribe in Tegucigalpa.
Isaiah, Zach, and Matt are doing a great skit called “Dos Reyes” “2 Kings”.
Matthew 6:24
“No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money”
During the skit Zach is running to and fro to please Matthew as well as Isaiah. Serving one takes away from the other like the short clip shows Zach pulling the chair from under Isaiah to give it to Matthew.
Pastor Fidel is the head pastor of his church in Choluteca. He has several church plants throughout Choluteca. Pastor Fidel asked if we would like to play games with the children and of course we accepted.
Justin leads “Melodias in mi Corazón” (melodies in my hear)
which is always a fun song/game with the children.
He tells the kids “thumbs up, elbows to the center, feet separated, knees together, head back”.
With each round of Melodias he adds a new command. Following the above stated he will add “lengua afuera” (tongue out). Which always makes the kids laugh out loud.
Pastor Fidel and his church also celebrated children’s day which involved numerous piñatas.
Frank & Levie from Gran Comision took us to a community called “Brisas del Rio”. Gran comision does housing projects in that community. With the assistance of mission teams partnering with them they can build a new house and replace the ones below in one week.

The children in Brisas del Rio were very sweet. Wanting to hold our hands, play games with us, and introduce us to their families.
We all had such a great time serving with and
getting to know the staff at:
Mision Caribe, Gran Comision, and Pastor Fidel
Thank you for blessing us with what God is doing in Honduras.
God bless,
Raf
