Hey Friends and Family!
I am back and finally ready to show you a
video of my Panama recap.
We got to see the panama canal – which was pretty cool. It wasn’t something I would tell everyone to go see but definitely to read about.
Here are just a few people we were blessed in getting to know while serving at the retirement home.
We had a party before we left, celebrating 2 birthdays and us leaving.
Don’t let their walkers fool you. When the music comes on they get live!
Team One Direction surprised me with a cake & bacon! You know how hard it is to surprise someone with a cake whom you live, serve with, and spend all day together?!
They didn’t just buy one either, Elaine baked it. They know bacon is my love language so that was an awesome cherry on top. No, I did not put bacon on my cake though that probably would be delicious.
My buddy Megan gifted me dominoes! Everyone back home knows how much I enjoy to play.
We all had a great time watching the World Cup and especially when U.S.A. played.A few of us were on the hunt for USA jerseys. Each person told us a different store and I looked in almost all of them. Did not find but 1 USA jersey. Which was expected being they were the underdog and that we were in Panama. BUT, I did find a few USA shirts which a few of us bought.
Hope you enjoyed my short video. I have Costa Rica’s video ready as well and will hopefully be able to update my blog with that tomorrow.
Also, I would appreciate prayers for my Uncle David Orona – and for my Cousin Rachel. My uncle David as many of you remember from a previous blog got diagnosed with leukemia last year. I believe he is on his road to recovery! My cousin Rachel had some form of cancer this year.
God bless – Miss you all – Thank you for your continued support –
Pray for the sick!
Sincerely,
RAF
