One of the many things we sign up for on the World Race is change. We’ve changed countries, we’ve changed continents, and now, we’ve changed teams.
I would like to introduce you to Team Abundant Life. These are the incredible women I will be spending at least the next few months with. We are a group of strong, Godly women who are fiercely chasing after the Lord. My internet isn’t good for posting a picture, but each of their blogs are on the left side of this page.
Amanda: She is a lot of woman in a little body. This girl is a powerful woman of God who loves Jesus and is uniquely in tune with the Holy Spirit. She brings an air of confidence and stability to our team.
Courtney: Our token Canadian. She is one of my best friends on my squad and I’m so blessed to have her on my team now. Courtney has one of the biggest hearts of anyone I’ve ever met. She loves completely and sacrificially. She brings a motherly affection and fun spirit to our team.
Logan: If I could describe Logan in one word it would be free. She exudes freedom and she walks that out in life and 8her relationship with the Lord. She is wise beyond her years. She desires and sets a tone of openness and vulnerability on this team.
Ashley: My fellow introvert! Ashley is a joyful woman who pursues Jesus with her whole heart. She needs copious amounts of alone time with the Lord (sound familiar?) and loves to write. She has a soft and tender spirit that brings life and growth to our team.
Carly: The same Carly from Team Selah Vie (my first team)! Carly has one of the biggest servant’s hearts I’ve ever known. She literally attracts babies and always showers them with motherly love. She desires to know the Lord more intimately and she encourages us all to do the same.
Katie: Also from Team Selah Vie! Katie is our resident encyclopedia. She’s full of fun facts! She loves to talk about bones and books (anthropology major). She has a hunger for prayer that is quite literally contagious. Her desire to open up and bring people into her past is inspiring and healing.
And as part of this season of change, I have been asked to step into the role of Team Leader. It’s my honor to lead these women and encourage them to dive deeper into their relationship with our loving Father.
If you had asked me before the Race if I thought I would be in leadership, I would have said absolutely not. Stepping into this role, I was a little hesitant and uncertain. But I know and can see how much the Lord has changed me and prepared me for this season. I am excited to see how He continues to challenge and grow me through leadership.
Team Abundant Life is starting out in Nepal partnering with a church network to bring the Gospel to villages all over the country. We’re starting in a city 15 hours outside Kathmandu helping build an orphanage. We are then making a 4-5 hour hike to a neighboring village to preach the Gospel and help in schools. We have the unique opportunity of living and doing ministry with two other teams as well. It’s a lot of people all the time, but it’s a new community living experience that we are all very thankful for.
We are so excited to see all that the Lord has in store for us for however long we are together!
