“So, tell me a little bit about yourself.” You never realize how hard of a question that is until you’re expected to sit down and talk about yourself. I’ll give it my best shot.

Well I’m RaeLynn. I graduated in May from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. I loved my school, but I’m super excited to have graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Until I was accepted to the World Race, I really had no idea what I was going to do after college. Thankfully, the Lord has plans for me, and He’s given me the faith to trust Him in this next season of life!

This is my mom, Jennifer, and my dad, Steve. They’re pretty cool people (and nice enough to let me move back home as a senior in college). My dad is an entrepreneur. My mom runs the office of a construction company and runs our home (superwoman style).

I also have a five year old brother, Caleb. Yes, we’re 17 years and 2 weeks apart. It’s quite the age difference, but I love it. He’s a handful, but he brings so much joy into my life when he’s not being completely insane.

Isn't he the cutest?!

Some random things about me:

– I don’t have a belly button. Yes, you read that right. I was born with gastroschisis (I’ve googled it for you).

– I can’t form coherent thoughts until I’ve had coffee in the morning, but after one cup I’m good for the rest of the day.

– I have a textbook Type A personality.

– I’m very much an introvert.

– I love, love, love Harry Potter. I even took a Harry Potter course my junior year of college. Best. Class. Ever.

– I am absolutely terrified of spiders. I can’t look at them, think about them, see them in textbooks…even writing this fact is difficult. We’ll see what the Lord does with that on the World Race.

– I am also terrified of any type of scary, thriller, or horror movie. I can’t even watch the previews. My dear, sweet friends know to mute the TV or change the channel if a commercial for one comes on. Once when I was at a movie by myself, a scary movie trailer came on, and I closed my eyes and rubbed my ears so I couldn’t hear or see anything. And there were definitely people around me who thought I was insane.

– I read the Bible in 40 days in the summer of 2014, and it was absolutely transformational in my relationship with the Lord.

And last but not least, I am a masterpiece of the Creator of the universe (Ephesians 2:10), daughter of the one true King (2 Corinthians 6:18), and redeemed and forgiven by the grace of Jesus Christ (Ephesians 1:7).

Please join me on this amazing journey to 11 countries in 11 months. I can’t wait to see what the Lord does in and through me. It would be an honor to have you by my side through this whole process!
