Hey friends!
When I originally said “Yes” to doing a 3 month Beauty for Ashes trip, I was on a team going to Uganda. Honestly, I didn’t think there was any other team going out soon, so I took what was available.
Well I am excited to announce, I am now on a Beauty for Ashes team going to Vietnam!
Same time frame, same purpose, different country, different ministry.
In January I will travel to Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam to partner with an organization called Divine Vision. Divine Vision provides a safe place for victims of human trafficking, victims of abuse and young girls at high risk. They provide victims of abuse a safe house, lessons on basic living skills, vocational training and through Beauty for Ashes a safe place to share their stories. It exists to give women the opportunity to have their lives fully restored.
I am so excited about the vision for this ministry. It aligns so much more with my heart to see women experience freedom and healing in Jesus. Praise the Lord for knowing my heart!
Everything else about the trip is the same. I will be on the field from the end of January to the end of April. I am still going out with Adventures in Missions’ Beauty for Ashes ministry. I will be on a different team, but that team is not fully formed yet (actually fun fact, I think I’m the only one right now).
Join me in prayer that God will form the perfect team for what He has planned. Pray for my heart as I prepare physically, emotionally, spiritually, and financially to serve the Lord overseas for another 3 months. Pray for the grace to love and serve the people in Omaha that God has asked me to pour into in the short time I am home.
