We began the trip with a 5ish hour car ride down to Siloam Spring, Arkansas

Caleb (driving the pic below) Zach and Jill and I all rode together. The car ride was full singing along to some great songs, Zach took the lead with that, some unexpected wet-willies, I took the lead on that, and some sleep which all of us tried to get in on.

We made some pit stops at a couple of places along the way. One being this really old abandoned building we ventured into. I love exploring places like this because they seem so full of stories and also their just different from the normal clean and lived in places I'm used to being in.

While there Dan, Caleb's dad, found this rock and gave it to me as a memory rock. He has a tradition of picking up rocks from the different places they go and bringing them home as "memory rocks". This little guy will now get the pleasure of traveling the world with me, and by little guy I mean the rock not Dan 🙂

We also made another pit stop at Braums, a delicious fast food place I'd never heard of before.

At Braums we met his adorable couple who told us they'd been married for over 60 years!

AND then we finally made it to the beautiful Siloam Springs, where I met a couple of girls swimming here and playing under the water fountain. Had I not been dress inadequately I would have joined them immediately. Some day I will swim in these waters though.

For the first couple days we were there we just set up for camp before the campers got there and were really blessed with some beautiful weather, we were actually blessed with that weather for most of camp which I was told was not normal.

With monday came the campers and the official start of Camp Revolution!

I got the immense pleasure of leading this family group with the beautiful Jill which meant every morning we got to start out day off chatting with these ladies about what we were learning from the Lord.

I also got to lead a squad of high schoolers from the different churches that were at the camp. We were the "K" squad and if I do say so, the best squad at the camp. Every day we had recreation with each other and a trek time. During the trek times our squad did different exercises that taught us a few lessons about life and working in community. After each activity we listened to Ted, one of the camp leaders and an amazing man of the Lord, speak about the significance of what we just did and were given some questions to think about. Then as a squad we would discuss everything. One of the coolest times we had was after a kind of rough day for us. The activity was a little harder than the previous day and few of the students got a bit irritated with one another during the course of trying to complete the task given to them. During out discussion time we talked about it all and it was so encouraging to just listen as they began to hear what the Lord was saying through Ted and through the activity and to talk about what they had learned through it all. At the end of that discussion the K squad decided to be less focused on just getting the tasks done and more focused on how they were getting them done and enjoying the process. So legit. Here's them during our last activity.

Over all, camp was amazing. So glad I got the opportunity to go.
