Thank you to anyone who is taking the time to read this. I am so incredibly excited for this opportunity to go to 11 countries in 11 months to be God’s hands and feet. I will be looking for support financially and through prayer from you all, so here is a little background about why I’m going. From the moment I heard about the World Race about two years ago I have wanted to go. It kind of scared me (and still does sometimes) and I thought about every possible reason I shouldn’t go but in the end I realized they were all just excuses. I prayed about what to do after graduating college for a long time. In the end I knew that God had greater things for me than just the typical and the expected and decided to apply for the World Race. I was accepted just a couple weeks later!
As an art major who loves ceramics, I love the analogy of Christ being the potter and us being the clay. I hope to go on this trip with a willingness to be molded, shaped, and turned into something beautiful and useful. Even though I don’t know what to expect, I think God has given me this opportunity because of my willingness to let Him use me for His greater purpose. This trip belongs to the Lord. May His name be glorified through it!
