To say this week has been a rollercoaster of emotions would be an understatement. It has been a crazy week of emotional goodbyes (I’ve managed to keep it together while saying goodbye, but have burst in to tears emidiately after every time), minor panic attacks in anticipation of packing and overwhelming excitement for what is to come. I’ve been dreading this 9 hour layover at Sea-Tac for weeks, but now that’s it’s finally here I am so thankful for this time to catch my breath.

Over the past 2 weeks my eyes have been opened to what a blessing it is to have such a hard time leaving. God has blessed me with an incredible support system of family, church family and friends who love me so selflessly. People who are sad to see me go, but even more excited for what lies ahead.

I will arrive in Atlanta tomorrow morning to be reunited with my squad! We will stay in Atlanta for a few days for some more training until Tuesday when we will fly to Haiti to begin our first month of ministry. Please continue to pray for protection, favor and boldness for J Squad and that God would begin to prepare the hearts of those we come in to contact with.

I am still about $8,000 away from being fully funded. In order to complete the full 11 months of The World Race, I need your help! If you are interested in donating financially please do so by clicking the ‘Support Me!’ link and following the prompts. Thank you so much to those who have already given and those who have pledged monthly support… If I weren’t for you I wouldn’t be where I am right now.

My phone will be shut off on Tuesday, so if you would like to stay in touch while I am away we will have to do so via email/facebook/this blog.

I can’t begin to express how blessed I feel to have this opportunity and to have the support of such amazing people. I am overwhelmed by the faithfulness of my God and I can’t wait to share that with the nations.

Xoxo,

Rachel 😀
