Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. Psalm 37:4-5
It’s funny how when we take the time to truly delight ourselves in God how much our lives change without really changing at all. We still have to get up for work or school in the morning, there are still bills to be paid and chores to be done, but suddenly we start to see the beauty and opportunity in the chaos. I no longer live to please myself, but to please Him. My desires have become His desires. There is so much more inside of me, not because of me, but because of He who lives in me.
As launch for the World Race gets closer (54 days!!!!) I can’t help but feel this overwhelming excitement deep in my heart. This passage from Psalms is my life right now! The desire of my heart is to see those who have been cast away as unworthy and unloved come to know that the Creator of the universe is madly, deeply, passionately in love with them. He wants to interact with them on a daily basis and to give them the desires of their hearts. God desires to use me not only to tell them about Him, but to show them.
Training Camp starts in just 4 short days and I couldn’t be more excited to get a closer look at what the next year will be like. I am blessed beyond measure to have this opportunity.
Please continue to pray for the preparation process of this missions trip, and also the people that my team and I will be coming in to contact with.
