Hey everyone!!! This is it the last week in the US for nine months! It’s so crazy to think that in just 9 days I will be getting on a plane to go to Guatemala. The process of getting to this point has been crazy and amazing! I am so excited to go and serve.
Back in July I went to training camp for my World Race Gap Year. At training camp I got to meet my Squad (Squad W!), and my team. The people I will be traveling with are some of the most amazing people I have ever met. While at training camp we grew close like family and we got a small taste of what it will be like to live life with each other. We laughed, cried, sang, and had real conversations with each other. I also got to meet the amazing leadership team that will be with us.
But before I go I still need to raise some funds. I have raised about $6,436 out of the $16,600 I need to be fully funded. My next fundraising deadline is this coming Thursday, September 5th and I need to be at $7,500 by then so that I can launch on the 9th. After that I need to get to $8,500 by October 6th, then $10,000 by November 6th. After that I have until January 15th to raise the last $6,600. This seems like a lot and under no circumstances will it be easy but I am willing to do what I need to.
I know most of y’all have already donated to help send me, and I can’t thank y’all enough. If you haven’t donated or have been hesitant to do so I ask that you please consider just donating $10. If 334 people donated $10 a month for the next 3 months I would be at $16,456 by November. Every little bit counts. Like I said every little bit counts, if you can’t donate $10 for three months, just donate $10 as a one-time donation. If you can’t shoot $10, try $5, or even $1.
But above all else please be praying. Not just for me but also for my squad. We are all about to head off for nine months and only God know what’s in store for us. Pray for our safety. Pray for our health. Pray for our families that are staying here in the States. Pray for our leaders, and their families. Please pray.
