Last month, I was unemployed, spent my days watching netflix, drinking coffee and seeing the occasional familiar face. This month, I am a painter, a housekeeper, an english teacher, worship leader, a prayer warrior and a special friend. This month I am a world racer and I have learned that even though my world looks a little different than that of my graduating class, I will continue to live a life for the sake of the Lord’s Kingdom and that is simply enough for me.
As a quick update, here is a sneak peek at my time in Chile so far:

This is where we are living. Tocopilla is a port city in the middle of the desert. We have been living with the pastor (David) of a local church and his beautiful wife Grecia.

Our team member Tim turned 30 shortly after we arrived here so, as a group, we purchased a cake from a local bakery up the street from our church to wish him a very happy birthday!
My favorite part of every day here on the race so far are the meals that we get to share together as a team but I love it even more when we can make and share in a meal with our host family!
Most of our time over the last week has been spent evangelizing in our neighborhood. We knock on every door and ask people if we can pray for them. Our first few days felt very unfruitful as many people did not want to speak with us but many hearts have been opened as we continue to pursue sharing the love of the Father with our neighbors.

Living in full time community has been such a beautiful experience thus far and I cannot wait to continue living life alongside them as we grow deeper in our walk with the Lord.
I will continue to keep you posted on how the rest of this month goes in Chile!
If you are feeling called to support, I am just under $5,000 short of being fully funded and need your help to continue sharing the love of the Father around the world! If you would like to support financially, you can click the donate button on my blog home page!
Adios mis amigos!
