Almost two weeks ago I boarded a flight to Georgia for training camp to meet my squadmates and to go through a series of training to prepare for the World Race but processing 10 days worth of joyful memories, hard challenges and spiritual growth is no easy task.

Training camp was hard y’all!

Half way through the week I got lice and multiple squadmates spent hours picking through my hair each night. We took cold bucket showers, slept outside, learned to put up and take down our tents in a matter of minutes and wore the same clothes for multiple days. We pushed ourselves physically in a fitness challenge, did insane amounts of burpees and squats and got little sleep.

But, God showed up in the most beautiful ways.

I learned to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit for the first time, extended forgiveness over bitterness I held in my heart, let go of shame that held me back from pursuing God’s will for my life, experienced God heal my squadmates through fierce prayer, witnessed my newest brothers and sisters in Christ publicly display their faith through baptism and made 48 new best friends.

This week I said yes to abandoning my old life and walking in obedience to the Lord.  In ten days the Lord grew me in ways that I never thought possible. This week the Lord changed my life. I cannot wait for how the Lord will transform me over the next year as I continue to say YES to Him. I’m all in.
