Hola amigos!!
I have just received more detailed information about the locations my squad will be going to in each country…
The first 3 weeks we are going to Ometepe Island, Nicaragua! This is an isolated island community in the more southern part of Nicaragua. Our whole squad will be here together for 3 weeks.
The second 3 weeks our squad is going to split into 2 teams. Team 1 will be going to Palacaguina which is in northern Nicaragua. Team 2 will be in Ciudad Dario, located above Ometepe Island.
The last 6 weeks of our trip we will be split into 2 teams again. Team 1 will be serving in Chichicastenango, Guatemala which is somewhere southwest I believe. Team 2 will be in Guatemala City!
It looks like we WILL have bathrooms and either bunk beds or floors to sleep on!! Praise God!! We may also have the opportunity to sleep in hammocks…super cool.
