Quick update and praise report!!
Have I already mentioned how the Lord is SO ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY GOOD!?
A few days before Labor Day, I drove around a few subdivisions and passed out flyers in mailboxes about this mission trip and asking if people were willing to donate their cans & bottles. I had so many people reach out and offer their bags within a day of passing them out, as well as yesterday while I was driving around picking up bags from houses! I even had people reach out today while I was at school offering me more bags, and I have to give all the credit to God. I have been collecting bags here and there for the last few weeks and with all the bags added from yesterday and today, I ended up making a little over $300 total in cans & bottles!!!
One of the most special moments throughout collecting bags yesterday:
A lady texted me and let me know she received my flyer, however she doesn’t drink pop or anything, so she didn’t have any cans to give. Instead, she offered to write me a check for a donation. I was so grateful to hear that she was willing to give! I drove to her house and she said she would leave it taped to her front door. I got the envelope and replaced it with a thank you card. I opened the envelope in my car and was totally not expecting what I would receive. This WONDERFUL lady wrote me a check for $250… I immediately started (happy) crying and wasn’t sure if I read that number correct through the tears, but when I saw “two hundred and fifty -” written out, I was in complete disbelief. My heart is filled with so much joy and trust in the Lord and His timing. He is so miraculous, and HE WILL PROVIDE!!
Just wanted to share such an amazing testimony to God’s provision. Don’t doubt His timing! I am so forever grateful.
