It's 2013 so I have reached the point where everyone wants to ask me what I plan on doing after grad school because I finish this June with my Master's, which is a little wild and crazy and a lot awesome.
I am 21. Most people do not know that, but I am. I am the youngin' and I have always been and will continue to be. So this is a question that most people get a little later in their life, but I get it at this point of my life and I'm really excited to answer the question now.
Before, I would answer the question basically letting the inquirer know that I was going to teach and then they would follow-up with "Do you plan on teaching here in Delaware or elsewhere?" to which I would reply, "Delaware. I want to improve the education system in Delaware."
It was a sure answer. It was solid. It was secure. It was rational.
Now, I get to answer the question by letting the inquirer know that I am going to embark on a eleven month mission trip called the World Race where I and other young adults will travel the globe with the intention of spreading the gospel in word and in deed. And I am amped. It's such an opportunity to be able to bring up Christ in a culture saturated by busy work. It's so awesome to dream about how great God is going to show up during the World Race. It's exhilarating to just stretch people's minds to ponder and wonder what great things God has planned for them as well.
I am not an anomaly. I am just willing. God has called us to go. Go. Go and make disciples of ALL nations, baptize them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, and teach them to obey Christ.
So what am I doing after grad school?
I'm strapping up, entering the mission field, and getting busy being obedient.
"For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain." –Philippians 1:21
