God is Crazy.
Crazy awesome that is.
I am completely mesmerized by Him.

Let’s start back to last Tuesday.

I had just arrived home from Training Camp at 3am, Sunday morning, so on Tuesday I was still a little tired, but still extremely hype from training camp. The day started off wonderfully, I spent some time with one of my friends that day and everything was grand and wonderful, but afterwards I had to go back home and get work done. I get home and began writing out my to-do list for the Race and I began to feel crippled, nearly paralyzed.

How am I supposed to get all of this done?

I was trying to chip little by little at the looming mountain of errands and responsibilities and I felt like I was getting nothing done. (My heart went out to all those who are still working full-time jobs and preparing for the Race. God bless you all, my friends.)

I could feel myself slipping into despair. Hopelessness started to crawl under my skin as I stared at my blog homepage over and over and saw that I was still $2000 away from my deadline of $6500. I can’t not go on the World Race. That is not an option. Every fiber in my being was crafted to go and I want to go. I need to go!

So I was getting close to a breakdown and some emotional eating, but then after talking to an awesome woman from my church, Ms. Janice, I could feel my hope restoring. Then, after talking to one of the awesome women on my squad, Kalah, I could feel my joy climbing and that’s when I said, “Uh-oh, the devil is in trouble now; I’m getting my strength back.”

The rest of the week followed in a similar fashion, I was strengthened by different words from people on my squad, a hilarious video chat attempt with my team, encouragement from friends and family and to be honest, I was starting to get a little sassy with Satan by that point.

Bring it on Satan, I got prayer warriors covering me. Take your best shot!

However, I was not feeling this same confidence when Saturday night rolled around and I had little prepared for Sunday morning when I would stand before my church and share with them about the race and invite them to partner with me. The Powerpoint wouldn’t send via email and I couldn’t form what I wanted to say and I was tired, so Saturday night came and went and I had nothing.

But you best believe that God is really cool and likes to make a scene. He is the life of the party and He's absolutely incredible.
