A lot of questions I get are about what we will be doing on the mission trip. Right now I’m on my way to Georgia. There we have a three day training camp. At training camp our squad will meet! Super excited about that! We will be doing some squad building stuff as well as personal growth. From training camp we will heading to an orphanage in Nicaragua. We will be spending 3 weeks there doing Bible studies, English lessons, cleaning up the campus, and doing some gardening. Next our squad will split into two teams. The team I will be apart of is heading to a boys school. There we will be reaching trades programs (they haven’t informed us on what kinds of trades, but I’m guessing carpentry). There will be some girls that we are going to teach sewing to. We are going to be there for another 3 weeks.
In Guatemala the squad will stay split and the team I’m apart of will be going to Guatemala City to a YWAM facility. Here we are going to be working with the kids and helping train them in evangelism. As well as more more Bible studies and English lessons. We will be spending 6 weeks there before returning home
Are you nervous?
The days leading up, I was really only worried about being packed and ready to go. I’m not worried about the mission trip. I know God as called each one of us here and will watch over us.
Are you packed?
I am now ??
Where will you be sleeping?
At camp, since it’s winter, we will be sleeping inside on the floor. In Nicaragua we should be in dorms at both the orphanage and the boys school. In Guatemala we will be tenting or sleeping in hammocks.
