Today was the day a new life chapter started! A group of us meet at the airport and kinda got to know each other. There we also got to meet some members of the other squads that are at training camp with us. It was a lot of fun talking and getting to meet all them.
From the airport we had about an hour drive to training camp. Got to catch up on a little sleep so that was nice. At camp we played some games to get to know one another. From there we had supper with our squads. Then it was worship! It was so nice to be able to calm down from at the excitement and spend time with God in worship. The band was great! To end the night we got back into our squads and got to spend some time with a lovely couple from Texas that will be our coaches. Then it was of to bed.
The first evening was great. A lot of new faces and information. The next three days are going to be packed with tools to equip us for the next three months. Although I’m not going to lie, it still doesn’t feel real. It feels like a few days at camp, not the start of three months away from family, friends, home, and a routine we are comfortable and used to. But I’m excited to grow in new ways!
Prayer requests
*That our team gets along. So far we seem like a great group and shouldn’t have to many problems. Although three months with people in challenging, uncomfortable situations will cause some conflicts.
*That we can soak in as much information three days as possible so we can be ready for the mission field to come.
