I am so grateful for all of you and pray that you had a very blessed Christmas!! This time of year, as we reflect on the birth of Jesus and all that means to us, I am reminded of His Precious Name Immanuel – The God Who Is With Us. As I reflect on all that I have seen and learned this year, I am so grateful that He chose to make a way for our salvation and chose to come and be with us. We are not alone….Isn’t that GREAT NEWS!?! I have spent this year travelling the world and have seen how the nations of the earth are spending their days making sacrifices to gods who are not with them. I saw, with my own eyes, men carving idols and images of gods that can only be described in the words of Psalm 115. ‘Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands. They have mouths, but they do not speak; eyes they have, but they do not see; they have ears, but they do not hear; noses they have but they do not smell; they have hands, but they do not handle; feet they have, but they do not walk; nor do they mutter through their throat.’

My heart was broken over and over this year for the countless people who do not know the Gospel – the Good News – of Jesus, the God Who is With Us. My feet touched the soil of 20 different nations this year, and with each step, I became more and more aware of the desperate need for people to encounter the real Jesus! As long as I live, I will never forget walking for hours in Nepal to reach villages who had literally never heard the name of Jesus. These villages had no little girls, because they had all been sold to traffickers. These are real people, lost in darkness, spending their lives serving gods who do not love them.

Because of you…your support and prayers… people all over the world encountered Light and Hope that pierced the darkness. In Africa, people were healed and those orphaned by AIDS were loved and cared for. In India, the abandoned and ‘untouchables’ were accepted. In Nepal, the ‘unreached’ learned that they were not too difficult to reach and heard the Precious Name of Jesus for the very first time. In Thailand, women trafficked into prostitution heard that they are worthy of real Love. In Cambodia, university students who have only ever known Buddhism received their first Bibles and learned that the arms of the Father are always open. In Vietnam, the forgotten and neglected were held. In Ireland, people were healed and accepted Jesus in the streets – some days as many as 54 in one day! Throughout Eastern Europe, churches were strengthened and equipped to reach the harvest in their own backyards.

THANK YOU! This year, your support and prayers reached the ends of the earth. Hearts were awakened and people encountered the reality of a Savior who is with us…some for the very first time! This Christmas, amidst all of the business, don’t forget to take time to reflect on the Good News of a Savior Who left eternity to become Immanuel – The God Who Is With Us… and continue to pray for those around the world who do not yet know this Good News.
