Hello dear friends! I would like to take a moment to update you on the progress of my World Race journey up to this point. As you know, I am in a season of preparation for an 11 month/11 country journey that the Lord has invited me on to bring the glorious Light and Love of His gospel to those around the world who do not yet know Him. Since this journey began just over two months ago, God has been teaching me about His heart and the significance of this next year, and I wanted to share some of that with you.
Physically, I am working on being able to carry my entire life in a backpack for a year! The Lord has stressed to me the importance of being physically capable of sustaining energy and passion for 11 months while traveling and living in a tent. Besides, I’m pretty sure the men on my team would not be happy if I wasn’t strong enough to carry my own pack! So, I am working on getting healthy in every possible way before embarking on this adventure. I am learning about endurance and the significance of everyday choices. We make seemingly meaningless choices everyday that affect our futures and the future of other people. I am learning to do what I can today to be more effective tomorrow. And, I am learning the importance of presenting our best, not our leftovers to people.
Mentally and spiritually, I am learning to seek first the Kingdom of God and trust His word that promises all the things that I need to be provided for me. I am learning to delight myself in the Lord and trusting Him to provide the desires of my heart. I am so grateful that I don’t have to wait until I step on foreign soil to see Him moving and working. Over the past several weeks, I have had the opportunity to encourage people in the Lord. I have seen Him heal people and deliver them from things that have had them in bondage for years. And, personally, He has been doing the same in me. I am so grateful that we serve a God who is faithful and keeps His promises. I am seeing His goodness everyday and enjoying the season of preparation because He loves me and is for me! He is preparing my heart for the people and nations that I am going to encounter, and I am already falling completely in love with the different cultures and nations! My heart is already gripped with their need for Him and His completely overwhelming love for them!
Financially, I have met my first deadline. Hallelujah! Thank you so much for all of your prayers and support! I am believing the Lord to push on towards my second deadline. So far, through many of you, God has provided $3500!!! For my second deadline, I need to have $7500 by the middle of December in order to leave for South Africa in January. I am fully confident that I am on the path He has chosen for my life and I am overflowing with anticipation of what He is going to do around the world next year. Please, partner with me! Please be a part of what He is going to do in 11 nations next year. I am humbly asking for you to join with me in prayer and financial support so that I am able to continue the road set before me.
