We have been in Colombia for over two weeks now and a lot has happened. In order to best show what life has been like in Colombia this blogpost will consist mostly of photos with descriptions.

This is the view from the rooftop deck of the building we are staying at in Medellin.

As beautiful as the view is during the day it is even more amazing at night.

This photo was taken on our first day in Medellin. This day served as an orientation day and a day to relax and recover from travel. During orientation we learned all about the ministry that we would be partnering with this month. The ministry has two buildings in Medellin that serve as their base of operations. One of their buildings is a house and that is where the majority of the girls lived in this month. The other building is a five story tall building. Each floor of the five story tall building houses a different part of the ministry. The first floor houses the church services and is a homeless shelter at night. The second floor houses the men’s program for men fighting drug addiction. The third floor houses the women’s program and the fourth floor is where I’m staying. Also on the fourth floor there are classrooms and the kitchen. The fifth floor has some apartments for some of the people who work with the ministry. The ministry here is doing amazing things. I feel so blessed that I got the opportunitity to partner with them this month. The ministry also has an outreach in Manantiales which is a section of Medellin. We spent most of our ministry time there. In Manantiales we held lots of kids camps for the local children.

At this particular camp pictured above we had different sports stations. Nick, Harper and I were in charge of the basketball station.

This photo was taken in Poblado which is an area about fifteen minutes from our ministry location. Poblado has tons of coffee shops, restaurants and just a lot of fun stuff to do so this is where I spent most of my free time.

This is a photo of me with my amazing teammate Maggie (http://maggieduehring.theworldrace.org/) who provide most of the photos for this blogpost.
