These are some of the best moments in Albania so far, not in any particular order.
1. On the car ride to our ministry site in Albania we stopped at a restaurant for some snacks. We walk in and there is a counter just covered in Albanian pastries. After asking our host many questions about the pastries he says “you know what, lets get them all”. So we proceeded to eat an outrageous amount of delicious Albanian pastries.
2. When we arrived to the house that we are living in we went to the bedroom to set our stuff down. After entering the room we started jumping up and down and squealing because we saw that we have beds. Then the lady that let us into the the house started jumping up and down with us, and gave us big hugs while speaking very rapidly in Albanian to us.
3. Our host taking us on a tour of our little town, then leading us to a walking trail that goes around a mountain and reminds me so much of hiking back home.
4. After Sunday church service going to the bakery in town and buying delicious cheese pastries.
5. Spending part of an afternoon with children trying to teaching me how to dance a traditional Albanian dance.
6. Every night making hot chocolate and watching movies with my team.
So far I have loved my time in Albania. It has been amazing. I feel incredibly grateful that the Lord has brought me here and has given me this opportunity to see and experience so many amazing things.
